XMG Fintech began in 2016 as the XMG Digital Asset Network, a layer‑1 blockchain launched by MegaHoot Technologies to advance early blockchain innovation and experiment with new forms of digital asset functionality. Modeled mechanically after Bitcoin, the original XMG chain served as the proving ground for MVault, an early smart‑contract‑style system introduced in 2016 that enabled simple, direct in‑wallet escrow and secure cold‑storage operations within the Bitcoin ecosystem.
By 2018, MVault was strategically migrated to the Pecu Novus Blockchain Network, whose more advanced architecture offered the scalability, programmability and infrastructure needed to support next‑generation financial applications. This shift marked the beginning of XMG’s evolution from a blockchain protocol into a broader financial product ecosystem.
Transition to XMG Fintech and Alignment with Pecu Novus
As the digital asset landscape matured, MegaHoot Technologies transitioned the XMG Digital Asset Network into XMG Fintech, a standalone entity focused on building financial products rather than maintaining a layer‑1 chain. The Pecu Novus blockchain emerged as the ideal foundation for this transformation, offering high‑performance infrastructure, native scalability and protocol‑level ERC‑20 compatibility that expanded the global utility of XMG Tokens.
This transition repositioned XMG from a blockchain experiment into a tokenization‑driven financial technology platform, enabling real‑world asset tokenization, stablecoin issuance and programmable financial instruments designed for institutional adoption and cross‑border utility.
Bridging Traditional Finance and Decentralized Finance
XMG Fintech’s mission is to converge traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi) by delivering blockchain‑powered financial products with real‑world utility.
